Purpose and limits

The website provides general information, modelled estimates and tools for recording practice. Results depend on the inputs, assumptions and evidence described on the site. They are not a guarantee of accuracy in the field, a complete assessment of a humane outcome, or permission to take a shot.

Read the methodology and limitations alongside any result. The website does not replace practical training, appropriate professional advice or your own assessment of conditions, safety and legal responsibilities. It does not provide legal advice.

Responsible use

Use the website lawfully. Do not interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorised access or misrepresent its outputs as guarantees. Report suspected errors through Contact & feedback.

Your saved records

The current version stores practice records in your browser and does not provide accounts or cloud sync. Export backups of records you want to keep. Browser settings, device changes or clearing site data can remove them. See our privacy statement for storage and deletion details.

Optional support

Support is a voluntary, one-off contribution through Stripe. It does not start a subscription or buy a product, extra features, priority service, ownership or a promise of future development. The tools remain free whether you contribute or not.

Review the amount and currency shown at checkout before confirming. Within Range is not offering a charitable donation receipt or representing that your contribution qualifies for a donation tax credit.

For an accidental or duplicate payment, a refund request or another payment concern, email support@withinrange.nz with the payment date and receipt reference if available. Do not email full card details. We will review your request and explain the outcome. Nothing in these terms limits any refund or other remedy required by law.

Stripe processes the payment. Our privacy statement explains the transaction information that may be available to us.

Updates and availability

We may correct information, update the tools or change their availability as the project develops. An optional contribution does not guarantee uninterrupted access or a particular future feature. Changes to these terms will be published here with an updated date and will not retrospectively remove rights attached to an earlier payment.

Your legal rights

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or Fair Trading Act 1986 where applicable. The descriptions of model limitations explain the tools’ scope; they are not a blanket exclusion of our legal responsibilities.

These terms are governed by New Zealand law, without removing any mandatory protections that apply to you.
