Measure groups centre-to-centre. Width and height are both kept; their bounding-box diagonal is used as a conservative upper estimate of extreme spread. Do not omit a poor group; record any excluded shot and the reason.

A drill holds setup, distance, position and shot count constant. The six-group default creates two descriptive three-group windows; it is not a validated minimum for capability. Record every group, including poor ones.
